Federation of Families of South Carolina

The Federation of Families of South Carolina is a nonprofit organization established to serve the families of children with any degree of emotional, behavioral or psychiatric disorder. The services and programs offered by the Federation are designed to meet the individual and varying needs of families around the state. Upstate Parents Network is proud to be an affiliate of Federation of Families of South Carolina

Family Connection South Carolina

Family Connection is a support network for families who have children with developmental delays, disabilities or chronic illnesses through a parent-to-parent network of family-focused support to provide assurance, information, community awareness and enhanced parent/professional relationships. 

CAF- Division of Children, Adolescents, and Families

CAF works to provide a seamless service delivery system for the children and families of South Carolina. We are exploring new avenues for linking families with critically needed mental health services in the home, school and community settings.

NAMI SC

The mission of NAMI SC is to improve the quality of life and treatment for people who suffer from mental illness and their families through education support and advocacy

Continuum of Care South Carolina

The Mission of the Continuum of Care is to ensure continuing development and delivery of appropriate services to those children with severe emotional disturbance and their families in South Carolina whose needs are not being adequately met by existing services and programs.

Mental Health Association of South Carolina

Mental Health America of South Carolina believes in a healthy society in which all people are accorded respect, dignity and the opportunity to achieve their full potential free from stigma and prejudice. MHASC is dedicated to preventing mental disorders through research and achieving victory over mental illnesses through systems and individual advocacy, education and un-met service development

TEFRA

Under Section 134 of the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 (TEFRA), (P.L.97-248), states were allowed to make Medicaid benefits available to certain disabled children who would not ordinarily be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits because of their parent's income or resources. South Carolina began covering these children effective January 1, 1995.

Disability Action Center (DAC)

The Disability Action Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, consumer governed Center for Independent Living. Programs and services support persons with disabilities in taking full advantage of community resources, enhancing personal opportunities, and determining the direction of their lives.

The P.A.C.E. Center

In May 2007, MHAP and CC merged to form The P.A.C.E. Center — representing the full scope of services and programs we provide: Prevention, Advocacy, Counseling, and Education.

Children's Advocacy Center

The Children's Advocacy Center of Spartanburg was founded in 1995 with the mission to objectively facilitate a collaborative, child focused approach for the detection, investigation, treatment, prosecution and prevention of child abuse. They provide counseling and services that are not available anywhere else in the area: helping girls and boys overcome the trauma of severe physical or sexual abuse in a caring, safe environment.  The Children’s Advocacy Center is designed especially for kids.
